Wood Line in the Presidio

Wood Line by Andy Goldsworthy

This morning, we took an alternative route to our usual hike through the Presidio and stopped by artist Andy Goldsworthy‘s harmonious Wood Line. Just within  the Presidio Gate and in the historic Eucalyptus grove, we experienced winding Eucalyptus branches through a forest-like setting. Our kids loved the challenge of walking (and running) atop smoothed tree limbs from start to finish… multiple times. And, along the the trail, we saw a couple of communal teepee structures made with broken branches. The kids added a branch or two, careful not to ruin the existing design. Our dog just kept the branches to himself. It was a perfect way to spend our morning.
