Glazed Teriyaki Pork Belly

In honor of Food Day (October 24), we went to our local farmers market to show our support. Apple cider pressing by The Sprouts Cooking Club and a wool spinning demo with Spindles & Flyers Spinning Guild were just some of the Food Day events that caught our attention. After a Farmers Burger from Prather Ranch Meat Co. (Yes, of course it had a fried egg!) and bomboloni (kids only), we stopped by my favorite Marin Sun Farms for some pork belly and lamb bacon to go.

If your family doesn’t own a copy of The Family Meal – Home Cooking with Ferran Adrià, get one. Simple recipes, big flavors, and meaningful advice on planning meals. And, the detailed photographs are visually stimulating. Here, I tried the Glazed Teriyaki Pork Belly recipe – water, salt, black peppercorns, garlic, onions, and teriyaki sauce. Not one of my best images but wow did that dish have a powerhouse of flavor. It’s even better the next day. Enjoy!
