Ode to Outerwear

Crisp mornings and cool nights with a blanket of fog are finally here, it’s fall! I’ve resisted pulling out down and fleece jackets thinking our lovely Indian summer will last just a few more weeks, but alas the temperature is dropping. I’m now pouring through pages of children’s puffers, parkas, and other warm looking covering for the upcoming months. Trying not to be so boring, I found some bold colors and patterns like this girls’ bright-colored down and longer coat in brick or this plaid jacket (I love plaid!) mixed with classic neutrals like this boys’ navy puff jacket. And, for those still in transition or in between extreme climates, this furry-lined vest or warm gilet are stylish options, as well as this poncho.

Finally, for moms on the go, I am loving J.Crew’s field jacket in a gorgeous deep navy and this tailored Barbour jacket. Smart and sharp.
